This policy ("Privacy Policy") explains how Clearcraft ("Company", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and discloses personal information obtained through our website (the "Website"), Clearcraft's game software, and any other applications, products, or services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Service"). Using the Service means you're agreeing to how we handle your information as described here. You can take back your consent by giving us reasonable notice, though that might mean we can't keep the Service running for you. If this Privacy Policy doesn't work for you, you should stop using the Service. You've got the right to see what personal information we have about you and ask us to correct it in certain situations. 1. What Personal Information Is Collected from You

Personal information is basically anything that identifies you as an individual—your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, that kind of thing. We collect only what we actually need for what we're doing, and we try to keep it accurate and up to date. You're responsible for letting us know if your contact info changes. Information you provide when using the Service Registration and Profile. When you sign up through a third-party platform like Steam or Epic Games, we might grab your username, platform ID, and profile stuff like your bio, avatar, or profile photo. Communications. If you're playing, interacting with the Service, or reaching out to our support team, we collect whatever information you share with us.

2. What Information Is Collected Automatically

Using the Service means we automatically collect some technical information about what's happening on your end. Device Information. Your IP address, browser type, OS version, unique device identifiers, and browser preferences all get collected. Usage Information. We track what you do in the Service—your crafting actions, time spent playing, bug reports, all of that. Cookies. Google Analytics and cookies help us understand how people are using the Service. If you want to tweak your privacy settings, head to policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on if you'd rather not be tracked that way.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use what we collect to actually provide the Service, follow the law, and for the stuff laid out below. Internal Business Purposes. Analytics, market research, building better software, and making the Service work better—that's where a lot of the data goes. We might use your username and profile to build leaderboards or make the game more interesting. Communications. When you reach out, we use your information to get back to you. We also send operational emails for things like account verification or if there's maintenance happening. Marketing. If you're signed up for our newsletter, you'll get emails about crafting updates and survival tips. The unsubscribe link in every email works if you want to stop. Compliance. Sometimes we need to use your information to protect ourselves, stop security problems, follow laws, or respond to official requests. Aggregate Data. We might strip out identifying information and use your data in anonymous, aggregated form for other purposes.

Your personal information isn't sold, shared, or given to third parties unless we describe it here or the law requires it. Service Providers. We work with third-party providers to run the Service, which includes: — Data storage through Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB & S3, based in the United States). — Newsletter delivery via Mailchimp (check their privacy policy at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/). — Third-party payment processors (we don't handle payment card information ourselves). — Applicant tracking systems for job applications. Other Users. Some of your profile and gameplay data shows up to other players—your username, bio, avatar, activity status. As Required by Law. If we're legally obligated, hit with a court order, or need to protect ourselves or others, we might disclose information. Business Transactions. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or selling assets, information might be shared as part of that, but it's subject to applicable law. Aggregate Data. We can share anonymous reports about user demographics and traffic patterns.

5. Information from Children Under 14

We don't knowingly collect information from kids under 14 without their parents' permission. If you think we've collected that kind of information, email info@clearcraft.pro and we'll delete it right away.

6. How Long Is Your Information Kept?

We hold onto your information as long as we need it for the original reason we collected it, and for customer service, business, and legal reasons unless the law says otherwise.

7. How Do We Protect Your Personal Information?

We follow industry best practices to keep your information safe from loss, unauthorized access, and tampering while it's being sent or stored. That said, nothing's completely secure. If there's a serious data breach, we'll let you know in accordance with the law.

8. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your information might end up in other countries—Canada, the United States, places like that. We protect it the same way described here and as the law requires.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the changes on the Website and let you know about anything major via the Services, email, or whatever makes sense.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy follows Canadian law and the laws of the Province of Quebec. Any disputes about privacy get handled in the courts of Montreal.

11. How Can You Access and Rectify Your Personal Information?

Want to see what personal information we have about you or ask us to fix something? Write to us at the address below and we'll get back to you within about a month with what you're asking for, following applicable laws. We might ask you to verify who you are, but we won't keep that information or use it for anything else.
